Man Who Helped Dispose of Murdered Woman Admits to Felonies
CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) — A southwest Idaho man authorities say helped get rid of a weapon and lied to police following the killing of a woman by his uncle has pleaded guilty to two felonies. Twenty-five-year-old Jose Cruz Flores of Nampa pleaded guilty Monday in 3rd District Court to felony destruction of evidence and failure to report a death. Police say Flores in August helped 39-year-old Alfredo Martinez after Martinez killed 36-year-old Selena Thomas.
Martinez pleaded guilty in May to second-degree murder in the death of his girlfriend, and is scheduled to be sentenced July 27. Flore is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 14.
