Regardless of how many Idahoans feel about marijuana, it's likely in just about every neighborhood in the state.

A misperception about marijuana is that it's mostly being smoked by the high school and college-aged population and the aging hippie type. If state police raided the homes of a different segment of the Gem State population, it would yield some surprising results.

I haven't seen a bag of weed in years. I've reached the age where my friends, work associates, and the neighbors I most closely relate to don't mess with it anymore. Or, at least that's what they say.

According to data shared by Area 52, millennials are toking the most ganja in the Gem State. This age group includes those between the ages of 29 and 44.

If these findings are accurate regarding this age group, it means that the biggest pool of Idahoans getting ripped (illegally) are married couples, moms and dads, business owners, corporate employees, and people who started playing pickleball in the past five years.

States where the most weed is being smoked are Hawaii, Washington State, Oregon, and Colorado, according to Area 52. Idaho is not a great place to engage in this lifestyle, and yet it appears a large number of people across the state are blazing up.

Remember, recreational use of marijuana in Idaho is illegal, and the punishment for doing so is heavy.
