
Google Uncovers Idaho’s Most Popular Christmas Tradition
Every family has a favorite Christmas tradition. Matching holiday pajamas, Christmas Eve movie marathons, neighborhood caroling, and reading 'Twas The Night Before Christmas' to children are all examples. Gift exchanges are another popular reason people gather in the days leading up to Santa's big night.
The company I'm employed at recently held its annual Christmas party. I'm not sure I'll ever get used to these gatherings weeks before Thanksgiving, but it's all about venue availability.
Most of us have taken part in a corporate gift exchange. This year, I got a battery-powered ice cream scooper. My morning co-host's wife took the $12 scented candle set I bought; I would have preferred to have my candles back, seeing as I don't really eat ice cream.

The website Little Sleepies shared Google data from the United States that tracked holiday searches on traditions, and came up with Idaho's most popular Christmas activity.

According to Google, the most popular Christmas tradition is the white elephant gift exchange. This involves a group of family, friends, or associates who gather together and choose from a gift pile usually full of tacky, cheap items, for instance, something one would find in the 'As Seen On TV' aisle at the local Walmart.
