TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for parts of Idaho, including the south-central region, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday.

Winds from the northwest are expected to be 25 to 35 mph with gusts of up to 45 mph.

Drivers, especially those of high-profile vehicles, should be cautious because crosswinds on north- and south-oriented roads can create hazardous driving conditions, according to the NWS.

Friday temperatures are expected to be considerably lower than they were the rest of the week.

Thursday’s high was 92, with a projected low of 52 degrees; but Friday is expected to be at least 20 degrees cooler with an afternoon high of around 71. Friday night's low is forecast to be 44 degrees.
