New Hobbit Movie will Cause a Nerd Revolt!
Like most things from Hollywood, they like to make things up, even when Hollywood's premise is based on a book. But this time, it may cause nerds everywhere to rise up in REVOLT!
Not only does pissing off nerds scare me, I mean they're nerds, which means they're smarter then most! But I'm also scared to purchase a ticket for one of my most beloved stories from my childhood The Hobbit and not being happy about it. Basically, I'm cheap.
Here's some things you should know:
- The movie will be split up into two movies. Way to milk it!
- Frodo will make an appearance, which is NOT in the original Hobbit cartoon or book. Again played by Elijah Wood. Side note: The 1977 Hobbit cartoon gave me nightmares as a child. Seriously, I would wake up screaming in the night, scared to death of Smaug (the dragon), eyes wide-open, completely creeping out my parents. They eventually took me to the doctors and here I am today. Sigh
- The same dude who played Gollum, Gandolf, and the most of the elves are back, it's a lot of the same nerd-ness your used to.
- For those of you who love the story, even a couple changes won't change the fact that you'll love it!
The movie makers intend to release The Hobbit by Christmas of this year, yet won't start shooting till next month. Now maybe that's when the nerds will really revolt?!
