Data Suggests Idaho Managers Aren’t Cool With Office Pranks
Working in an office setting can be downright stagnant at times. Most companies have one staffer who tries to keep things light in the office by strategically executing certain actions meant to promote good workplace vibes.
Although I prefer to be quiet and keep to myself around the office, I do appreciate a good gag. While I'm grateful for being employed and having someone put faith in me as a team member, I'm normally not a fan of go-through-the-motions, office small talk among superiors. Lucky for me, my current bosses ( I have two) are pretty good dudes, until they meet and decide to let me go.
Clock in, try to execute your tasks to a level where your company would be much worse off without your skill set, and get out is my work mantra. However, I'd be lying if I said I've never used company time to prank my fellow co-workers.
Pranks do make work more enjoyable, if there is such a thing. I prefer those around me show their human side and make efforts to relate to the group as a whole, as opposed to the 'look at how much authority I have in this collared shirt' personality type. We're all expendable whether we like to believe it or not, so we might as well enjoy one another's company.
