Olsen Twins Named Vogue’s Best Dressed Sisters

A special issue of Vogue spotlighting fashionable sisters will hit newsstands next week with twin actresses and clothing designers Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen gracing its prestigious cover.

Mark Holgate, Vogue’s fashion news director and editor, said, “Are there any more chic, stylish, cool, and original sisters? They are incredibly stylish.”

While the twins regularly appear on several worst dressed lists, Holgate said that simply adds to their appeal.

“They get it right a lot of the time and then sometimes they don’t get it right. That’s actually great because it shows that it’s their hands reaching into their wardrobes,” he explained. “They don’t have someone telling them, ‘This is cool, this is hot, this is what you should be wearing.’ It comes from within them. It’s instinctual.”

Vogue’s sisters issue also features Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and her sister Pippa, singers Beyonce and Solange Knowles, and actresses Rooney and Kate Mara.
