‘Oz: The Great and Powerful’ Trailer From 2013 Golden Globes
If you watched this year's Golden Globe awards, you were treated to a new trailer for Sam Raimi's eagerly anticipated 'Oz: The Great and Powerful." If you didn't watch the Golden Globes and want a glimpse James Franco's adventures in the land of Oz, don't fret -- you can watch the footage embedded below!
'Oz: The Great and Powerful' is Raimi's first film since 2009's underrated 'Drag Me to Hell' and the jury's still out on how much of his personality will be on display in the film. His penchant for silliness would be right at home with this material, but most of the trailers so far (including this one) sell the film as the spiritual sequel to 'Alice in Wonderland'...which is certainly not a good thing.
Still, we have a good feeling about this one. Raimi's yet to phone in a movie (even the divisive 'Spider-man 3' is full of his personal touches) and just look at that cast! With Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams headlining the film, there's no way this will be all bad...right?
'Oz: The Great and Powerful' opens on March 8th. What do you think of the new trailer? Are excited to return to the land of Oz or should they have just left this one alone?
