The arrests of the parents of a Michigan minor who allegedly killed four fellow students on November 30 sent shock waves throughout the country. Police are currently investigating whether or not the parents facilitated the act of violence last week.

The parents of Ethan Crumbley, 15, who reportedly killed four and injured several others at Oxford High School were taken into custody over the weekend after failing to appear for a court proceeding. The two have been charged with multiple counts of involuntary manslaughter after the deadly shooting that claimed four lives and injured seven others on campus, according to CNN.

Following an investigation into the incident, authorities determined that the firearm used in the shootings was reportedly purchased and owned by Crumbley's father. Both parents were located at a Detroit business on Saturday. They have pled not guilty in the case.

In Jefferson County, Idaho, Rigby Middle School was the scene of a second 2021 incident involving an on-campus gun back in September. No shots were fired by a lone female student who was in possession of the firearm in the September incident, but four months earlier three people were injured at the same school by another student who managed to get shots off before being detained.

Do you believe the parents of minors that commit acts of gun violence on school campuses in Idaho should be charged with crimes themselves? Do you believe that the parents of these offenders should shoulder the majority of the blame in these cases?
