New ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Poster: Zoe Saldana is Under Fire

The previous poster for 'Star Trek Into Darkness' depicted the famous starship Enterprise at its most vulnerable. The lastest one-sheet continues the trend, placing Zoe Saldana's Uhura in a fiery situation of her own.

JJ Abrams made it pretty clear with his 2008 reboot that his 'Star Trek' universe is its own unique beast and everything we've seen so from 'Star Trek Into Darkness' suggest this his follow-up will stray even further from tradition. While old school fans will undoubtedly find little to love about a poster (courtesy of iTunes) that depicts the Enterprise's communications expert in the middle of a firefight, the audiences who enjoy the new rejuvenated/dumbed-down/action-packed/etc take on the franchise definitely have plenty to look forward to.

'Star Trek Into Darkness' opens on May 17th. And no, we're still not sure who Benedict Cumberbatch is playing.
