This story is pretty funny, considering all the pot smokers I grew up with just loved....NO NO adored the environment...I mean, these were the guys chaining themselves to trees.

But alas, a study from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory has found:

that pot production in the United States creates as much greenhouse gas as three million cars.
Damn!  The study went on to say that because a lot of the growing now happens in-doors (in Cali - because it's legalish there) that growers use a lot of grow lights.  Those grow lights are
consuming $5 billion worth of electricity each year.
As for greenhouse gases (the kind that hurts the environment):
Narrowing the implications even further reveals some staggering numbers. Mills said a single marijuana cigarette represents 2 pounds of CO2 emissions, an amount equal to running a 100-watt light bulb for 17 hour
