WATCH: Man Goes Full Monkey With Wild Idaho Climbing Feat

Climbers are a totally different breed. The hobby not only takes above average strength and concentration, but also a certain flexibility that most humans just don't have.

The most impressive thing I've ever seen in my life was a documentary on the 2017 free climb of Yosemite National Park's famous El Capitan, a 3,200-foot tall, granite rock that is considered by many to be the most challenging climb in the world.

'Free climb,' means to scale something without the use of ropes or safety gear, and a man named Alex Honnold accomplished the feat eight years and became the only human to do it at the time.

Idaho Climber Pulls Over Crazy Maneuver Over Massive Boulder

I recommend watching the documentary on Honnold's amazing climb. It's titled, Free Solo, and won an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature in 2019.

Not to compare a recent Idaho climbing video I came across to the Alex Honnold accomplishment, but still, it's damn impressive. Michael Limbert is an outdoor enthusiast who climbs a lot in Idaho, and a video he shared to his YouTube account this week fascinated me.

When the video began, I thought, 'He's not really going to maneuver over that rock from that starting position, is he?' Then, 60-seconds later, he's over the lip and has completed the climb. At no point did Limbert touch the ground beneath him. This type of arm strength and muscle coordination is bonkers to me.

The location of the climb is listed on the video description as Swan Falls, which is 40 miles southwest of Boise.
