City Of Rocks National Reserve

An Idaho park known for its rock formations has just received recognition for the dark skies above

Hopefully 2022 will be better, and one way to try and make that happen is by making a few New Year's resolutions and seeing them through.

About 85 miles southeast of Twin Falls, is City of Rocks National Reserve, and they will be hosting New Year's day adventures with first day of the year hikes.

Restoration work has begun on historic rock markings at the City of Rocks National Reserve. In a social media post caretakers showed before and after pictures of and area tagged with graffiti in April at the reserve near the small community of Almo.

A group that supports state run parks in Idaho was able to raise funds to help remove graffiti from historic rock inscriptions in southern Idaho.

The investigation into the defacing of historic emigrant inscriptions on rocks in southern Idaho has been turned over to federal law enforcement
