TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — First responders quickly turned off a gas meter after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon in downtown Twin Falls.
UPDATE, 4:10 p.m.: The evacuation order has been lifted, according to a dispatcher with the Southern Idaho Regional Communications Center. Jerome residents in the affected area are now able to return to their homes.
Crews working near the 1200 block of Blue Lakes Blvd N may have accidentally struck a natural gas line and caused a gas leak. Police and Fire are on the scene, but as crews work to shut down the gas leak traffic on Blue Lakes Blvd N could be reduced to one lane.
