The magic of the original 'Ghostbusters' has proven difficult to replicate over the years.

And they look incredible.

Dear Ghostbusters haters, are you still angry about Paul Feig‘s female reboot? Are your hands tired from typing one vile, misogynistic comment after the next on YouTube? Are you praying the new movie will bomb at the box office so your precious childhood will never be threatened again? Well, too bad.

2015 was a great year for movies. Some were great like Star Wars : The Force Awakens, Ant-Man, and Minions. Then there were movies we hated and forgot about...so I'll remind you of them now. Mortdecai, Hot Pursuit, and Jem and the Holograms.

There’s still quite a while to go until the July 15, 2016 release date of Paul Feig’s all-female Ghostbusters reboot, but the fires of fan anticipation must be continually stoked if they’re going to burn strong enough to last through the winter, and the wasteland of pop-cultural apathy that is the month of January...

So far, all of the surviving original Ghostbusters cast members — Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts — have returned to make cameo appearances in the upcoming reboot. Everyone, that is, expect Rick Moranis. The actor who played Louis Tully in Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II mostly retired from the public eye and hasn’t acted in a live-action feature since 1997, but revealed that he was approached to return for the Ghostbusters reboot and he swiftly turned them down.

Sigourney Weaver was the only one of the core actors from the original film (minus Rick Moranis who retired from acting) who was not going to be appearing in the new Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig version. But, as it turns out, Weaver will be appearing in the new Ghostbusters movie, alongside Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Dan Aykroyd and Annie Potts.

There’s one reason and one reason only why we’re getting a Ghostbusters remake in 2016 instead of an actual Ghostbusters 3 five years ago. That reason is named Bill Murray and he’s been the not-so-secret sequel roadblock for as long as we can remember. But then he accepted a small role in the new reboot, because he’s Bill Murray and Bill Murray does whatever he wants. Sometimes that means randomly showing up at your birthday party. Sometimes that means popping up in a film franchise that he seemingly had zero desire to revisit. Now, Murray explains his reasons for joining a new Ghostbusters movie he was so vocally against.

Chris Hemsworth ain’t afraid of no nerdy eyewear. He’s also not afraid of serving as the administrative assistant to a quartet of ghost-busting ladies on the set of Paul Feig’s Ghosbtusters. Today brings our first look at Hemsworth in costume, spotting the Ghostbusters uniform on the set of the upcoming film.

Recently, Chris Pratt and Chris Evans visited children’s hospitals in costume as their superhero characters, followed by Johnny Depp dressing as Jack Sparrow and doing the same. And now the cast of Paul Feig’s new Ghostbusters movie have been inspired to use their fame for good, visiting the kids at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.

There has been much dispute lately regarding the matter of who, in the event of a ghost-related emergency, ya gonna call.

While the following is still a rumor, you might want to turn back now if you wish to avoid potential spoilers for Paul Feig’s new Ghostbusters movie. We’ve heard for some time now that Dan Aykroyd is putting in a cameo appearance, but we weren’t sure if he’d be doing so as Ray from the original Ghostbusters, or an entirely new character. Given Feig’s plans for his new film, the former was pretty unlikely.
