Magic Valley Speedway takes a breather this weekend, but racing action will return to Twin Falls on Saturday, September sixth featuring:

The Magic Valley Speedway announced on their text club (join now by texting "mvspeedway" to 84483) that Saturday night's races (08/23/14) have been cancelled due to flooding at the speedway.

Last weekend racer Roy Boots flipped his car, not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES! Oh and he's back to race again Saturday night at your NASCAR home-track Magic Valley Speedway in Twin Falls.

NASCAR driver Tony Stewart hit and killed another driver during an Empire Super Sprint car race at the Canandaigua Motorsports Park, according to local officials. Tony Stewart will not race in Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Watkins Glen International.

Normally we interview a few drivers during the week and give away a few tickets to the Speedway, but this weekend is extra special! This weekend there will be a car show and races at the Magic Valley Speedway!

You look forward to it every year, Magic Valley Speedway's Independence Day celebration is full of fireworks, their infamous trailer race of destruction, and yes, NASCAR racing!

I could envision doing this about 10 years ago.  Maybe.  Maybe not.  For now I think I'll settle for watching NASCAR... plenty exciting for me :-). Also, please do not try this anywhere near Twin Falls!!

I like to drive fast. But I do not follow NASCAR, street racing, F1, or any other races. I do know a few thing though about those races - people go to the races for the crashes and the sound!
