Bird lovers will flock to the Hagerman Valley this weekend for a fowl party of sorts.

They’ve stored up supplies and believe they can ride out catastrophe whether man-made or from nature.

A flock of birds landed several times in fields on Friday morning near Grand View Drive. I was lucky enough to have my camera with me at the time, and was able to snap a few photos of the black birds.

Hawks look beautiful, and are fun to watch as long. Unless, you are in their space. If you have ever been on a walk, run or bike ride on a Magic Valley country road, and seen a hawk, you may think they are fun to watch until you get in their space.

Nothing will make you appreciate the power of nature quite like watching a dozen cypress trees being sucked underwater in the blink of an eye by a sinkhole.
