A 59-year-old man from Argentina is facing charges related to a common phone/internet scam that targets grandparents and gets them to send money electronically, however this time someone showed up to claim the money.
Earlier this week we shared some information about a potential margarita and mimosa crawl coming to Twin Falls in September that appears to be a scam. Because so many people were really excited about the crawls, some community members have said they want to make their own.
If you have been on social media lately you may have seen these "Margarita Crawl" and "Mimosa Crawl" advertised through AZ Food Festival. It appears to be a scam so if you spent money for tickets you might want to try to get your money back.
The Twin Falls Sheriff's Office posted on their Facebook page that another Social Security scam is making it's way through the area. They do have 208 are code numbers but that does not mean it is valid.
