BURLEY, Idaho (KLIX) – The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory that will be in effect until 6 p.m. today in eastern Magic Valley and eastern Idaho.
A storm system is moving in to southwest Idaho that will bring showers and numerous thunderstorms through late tonight. Storms are expected to produce rain, wind gusts up to 50 mph, abundant lightning, and create explosive fire growth potential.
The National Weather Service in has issued a Severe Thunderstorm warning for southeastern Gooding County, Jerome County, and Twin Falls County until 2:15 pm.
Winds could gusts of up to 50 MPH in the Magic Valley, making travel difficult at times, especially on the Perrine and Hansen Bridges. A Wind Advisory has been issued for Tuesday (Apr. 13).
