What would you do if your significant other questioned your weight? Outside of the obvious answer, which is to hit them, how do you follow up after that?
I've never been on a special diet to lose or gain weight. The thought of having to monitor my food intake sounds horrible - plus knowing what I eat and how much might not be good. I don't want to be in any future medical books as an example of doing life wrong.
In life we all keep secrets. Sometimes for good reasons and others just because we don't want people to know something - namely our weight and our salary.
The thing I find interesting is that a higher number is not always good. You are probably more likely to share your salary if it is high but less likely to share your weight if it is high...
We are almost 2 weeks into the new year and I have yet to go to the gym. I'm proud of myself for that. I didn't make a goal this year to work out more, eat healthier, or lose weight. I do know that there are a lot of people that did and that it is going to be hard for most of them.
The whole holiday season is not normally considered a time of healthy food and exercise - that's probably why the majority of us make a new year resolution to lose weight! But there is a ray of sunshine in the chaos of the holidays - you walk around a lot. Does Christmas shopping count as exercise?
I am not a super healthy person - but I am not overweight. I go to the gym once in a while or do some push ups at home. My wife on the other hand is crazy fit! She goes to the gym 4 or 5 times a week and eats healthy too. But even she isn't into Crossfit.
I love bacon! I also happen to love gravy and a bunch of other unhealthy things. I also know that I am not alone in my love of good food - which makes this so great! There are now awesome bacon and gravy flavored weight loss shakes!
So - the groundhog saw his shadow and we are in for another 6 weeks of winter. But rather than be sad about the cold, you should be happy because all that shivering you will do could help you lose weight! How many calories does shivering burn?
We already know that we are going to gain weight this Christmas (and most of us are well on our way). But, if you want to lose that holiday weight - get ready to run...a lot...in 2014
Tis the season to eat. And then eat some more. So the real question shouldn't be will you gain weight this Holiday season it is really a question of how much you'll gain.
