Whitesnake have unveiled their version of "Burn," which originally served as the title track for a long-ago collaboration between frontman David Coverdale and Deep Purple.

David Coverdale will return to his time as lead singer for Deep Purple during their Mark III and IV eras for an upcoming album with Whitesnake.

Their career had never been so healthy, but changes were looming.

The veteran guitarist has left Whitesnake after 11 years.

This sixth album exists in two versions, drawing a clear line that segregated their career into distinct periods.

A man claiming to be a drummer for Whitesnake was involved in a couple of incidents in Gloucester, Mass., last week. The man, whose name was not disclosed, was sent to a local hospital for evaluation.

The ever-revolving lineup of Whitesnake has seen yet another change. Following the departure of drummer Brian Tichy earlier this month, the band has announced that his replacement is Tommy Aldrige, who will be making his third stint behind the skins.
