(KLIX) – A juvenile was among two people taken to the hospital Thursday after a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 in Ada County.

Idaho State Police said the crash happened a little after 7:30 a.m. Thursday morning in the eastbound on-ramp to I-84 at Ten Mile in Meridian.

Police said Joan Malone, 51, of Meridian was driving a Ford Edge, while Rodney Daniel, 46, of Caldwell was driving a Ford Mustang.  Larry Atkinson, 39, of Nampa was driving a Dodge pickup. As Daniel was slowing in traffic, he was rear-ended by Atkinson. Daniel's vehicle then collided with Malone's vehicle that was stopped in traffic.

Daniel and his juvenile passenger were taken by ground ambulance to St. Luke’s Hospital in Meridian, according to police. Everyone in the vehicles were wearing their seat belts, police said. The on-ramp was blocked for about 30 minutes.
