WATCH: Snow Causes Idaho Motorist To Hydroplane Into Traffic
Recent snowfall in southern Idaho nearly caused a major accident on Interstate 84 when a motorist lost control, exited the roadway, and veered back into traffic. A dash camera captured the frightening incident.
With more snow expected to fall over the next 24 hours in southern Idaho, it's important to keep safety in mind while commuting to and from work. Frozen roads account for a large number of traffic collisions in the United States in the colder months.
Slowing down and maintaining several car lengths between you and other drivers is recommended when fog and black ice combine to cause poor traction and decreased visibility.

We are grateful the motorist managed to avoid a collision and serious injury. Remember to drive defensively when snow is on the ground. It's impossible to know when a fellow motorist will fall victim to icy conditions and lose control.
Be safe out there.
