Twin Falls City Fees Going Up
Several city residents opposed the proposed increase in the Twin Falls city water, sewer and sanitation fees at last night’s city council meeting. But in the end, the council decided an increase was necessary.
Starting soon, city residents will be paying an average of $4.42 more per month making the average sewer, water and sanitation fee just over $70 per month. It wasn’t quite as much as the original proposal. The Council voted to approve a motion from councilman Lance Clow and only raise the month sanitation fee by $1.37 instead of the proposed $3.00. The balance will be paid for from city reserves for the next year.
