Hiking is a great hobby for getting some exercise and escaping the stresses of daily life. A hiker in Washington State shared a photograph she took of herself that only those who are in the right place at the right time can capture thanks to the weather.

The combination of nature and weather made for an astounding surprise for this Washington State outdoor enthusiast. "Mountain therapy" was the perfect choice of wording for such an experience.

Hiking is something I really enjoy but lately haven't had the time to do as much as I'd like. Solo hiking isn't recommended for safety reasons, but sometimes people need to remove themselves from the company of other human beings. The most fun hike I've ever taken was Half Dome in Yosemite in 2008 with my wife and her siblings.

An amazing YouTube upload caught my attention the other day. A female hiker in Washington's Olympic National Park snapped a selfie as the sun was at her back and a layer of fog was sitting above a nearby ridge, casing a rare weather anomaly known as Brocken Spectre.  I've taken numerous hikes and never had anything remotely cool happen like this.

"I had a pretty horrible morning yesterday and drove up to Hurricane Ridge for some nature and mountain therapy," the hiker wrote in the description box of the video post. In order for this natural effect to be seen a person really has to get lucky or pre-plan for it.
