WATCH: Burly Bison Nearly Stomps Group Of Yellowstone Tourons
Spring is once again in the air in Yellowstone National Park. Unfortunately, the changing colors of the amazing landscape of this incredible expanse of wildlife and natural hot springs are once again attracting some of the world's most oblivious visitors, and the animals have taken notice.
Yellowstone National Park is truly one of America's most sacred destinations. It's impossible to visit the park without gaining a tremendous sense of satisfaction and respect for the planet we call home. Whether you stay for a day or a week, you never forget the visuals.
Please use common sense when visiting the park and obey all signs and instructions from the park rangers. It could save you from being on the losing end of a viral video.
Although July is the month when most tourists converge upon the park, there are still a large number of visitors in the colder months. Snowmobiling in Yellowstone is something I had the privilege of doing several years ago, and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life.
I've also seen some pretty shocking displays of humanity while traveling throughout the park. Most of the people I've crossed paths with have been very respectful regarding their interactions with the animals, and others make you feel really bad for the park rangers who have to intervene.
A YouTube video recently surfaced that showed a large group of tourists getting way too close to a massive bison, and turning your back to one is something that could result in major injuries. These animals require a lot of space and feel threatened by people who approach them with cameras. A great photograph isn't worth getting stomped by one of these majestic creatures.
Please use common sense when visiting the park and obey all signs and instructions from the park rangers, especially when you have young kids with you. It could save you from being on the losing end of a viral video.
