WATCH: Hispanic Support Rally Turns Ugly On South Idaho Street

President Donald Trump has been in office for less than two weeks in his second term, and already, tension from some of his recent executive orders has resulted in protests and gatherings of support for the LBGTQ community and American immigrants throughout the country. One recent rally in southeastern Idaho for the area's Hispanic community got heated after groups flying flags in support of their homelands clashed downtown.

While no injuries occurred from any physical confrontations, the disturbance did appear to cause some minor traffic issues.

President Trump's immigration crackdown has already resulted in nearly 4,000 arrests and hundreds of detainees since taking office once again on January 20, according to aljazeera.com. American Immigrants and supporters of them have been staging rallies from coast to coast in the last week, and most of them have been peaceful. One rally in Idaho Falls over the weekend caught the eye of many locals and some uploaded videos of the downtown confrontations to YouTube.

A YouTube short uploaded Monday (February 3) from the city located 160 miles northeast of Twin Falls shows the clash between area motorists with American flags on their trucks and a small number of people who gathered near the Idaho Falls Broadway Bridge to support the state's immigrant population. While no injuries occurred from any physical confrontations, the disturbance did appear to cause some minor traffic issues.

Thankfully, the clash ended quickly. Many believe Trump's recent statements and signed orders about recognizing only two genders started an all-out war against transgender and nonbinary persons.
