WATCH: Tourist Washes Face With Water From Disneyland CA Ride
Having grown up in Southern California, I can't even begin to count how many times I've spent a day at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, so I've seen my share of craziness carried out by tourists. A video surfaced online recently from the park that is so foul it's hard to believe that humans are capable of such disgusting acts.
My dad got a job in security at Disneyland in the late seventies after returning from the Vietnam War. He was able to get me and my older brother in the park free of charge, so we would hang out all day until he got off work. We have a nine-year-old son who we took to the park earlier this year and something incredible happened to us while there.
Leaning out of any ride isn't a good idea at any theme park, but to then dunk your head underwater makes this video even more crazy. A tetanus shot is probably in this guy's future.
Pirates of the Caribbean is one of Disneyland's most popular rides. The ride is what spawned the entire Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise starring Johnny Depp. The last time we went to Disneyland, we were allowed to ride the ride by ourselves--just me, my wife, and our son; it was incredible, and not likely something that will ever happen again.
For those who haven't been on the ride, you sit down in these little carts on a track that is submerged in water. The carts take you through the swashbuckling-themed attraction that includes singing characters, two water drops, ship battles, and plenty of pirate fun.
A recent Instagram video (@sometimescastles) shows what appears to be a man leaning over the side of the ride completely submerging his head under the water and scrubbing his face afterwards. This water is beyond funky and is likely full of floating debris, rust from the ride's machinery, mouse droppings, and God knows what else.
