For anyone in the Magic Valley that might be traveling over the weekend to Salt Lake City, Boise, or some other destination, expect a slow commute, as approaching cold fronts are expected to produce several inches of snow in counties throughout southern Idaho.

The snow is coming Magic Valley, and it's expected to fall off and on through Tuesday, January, 14. According to the latest weather forecast, a winter storm warning is in effect for Twin Falls County beginning at 11 PM Friday (January 10), and extending to 5 PM. Saturday. All times listed are Mountain Standard Time (MST).

Twin Falls, and surrounding locations, could see as much as four inches of snow in the next 48 hours, according to some forecasters. Then, a storm watch will take effect Tuesday (January 14) at 6 AM, and extend to 5 PM, which may produce up to six inches for the Magic Valley. Snow exceeding seven inches is expected at elevations above 6,000 feet throughout south Idaho.
