The person(s) responsible for robbing the grave of an Idaho teenager 31 years ago has never been identified. The girl's body was taken from the gravesite and left near a river in 1994 for a fisherman to find, and despite physical evidence at the scene, no arrests were made.

Something truly bizarre happened in February of 1994 near the community of Ammon, 160 miles northeast of Twin Falls. Someone dug up and pried open a coffin just hours after the memorial service ended and removed the 14-year-old's body from the cemetery, according to details shared by deseret.com. Out of respect for the family, we will not mention specific names.

Whoever removed the body on that February night is probably in their late forties to mid-fifties and possibly still living in southeastern Idaho.

According to deseret.com., a family member made the discovery the next day and alerted staff of the cemetery. A week after the grave robbery, a fisherman discovered the body lying by the shore of a river. Fingerprints were found on the coffin, but to this day, no one has had to answer for this morbid crime.

Was this a random, disturbing act, or did someone who knew the girl purposely do this? Thankfully, the young girl was ultimately able to be given a new burial, and worries from the family were quelled. No information I could find about this case mentioned any arrests made or persons of interest identified.

Whoever removed the body on that February night is probably in their late forties to mid-fifties and possibly still living in southeastern Idaho. Do you know who the person responsible for this crime is?
