Twin Falls is a beautiful place to live, with nice people, plenty of jobs, and overall a safe town. There is plenty to do for a town this size, and it is a great place to raise a family. Driving around though, you may not notice at first, but the longer you live here you begin to notice that the population is growing. The population of the people living here is growing, but that is not what this article is referencing. The homeless population seems to be growing, and it raises the question, does Twin Falls have a homeless problem?

Does Twin Falls Have a Homeless Problem?

There seem to be more than a handful of homeless people roaming around Twin Falls these days, and it is fair to ask if this is a problem. I grew up in a town more than double the size of Twin, and it had only one homeless person that everyone knew by name. Each place is different, and every place seems to have them, but for a town this size, it seems that there are a few more than you would expect. Times have changed, and the pandemic has affected people differently, but does Twin have too many homeless people, and what can the town do about it?

There are stories about different homeless people in the area, which is one of the best parts of homeless people in small towns. They become a part of the community. There is the lady that rolls in her wheelchair backward and sticks her tongue out, and there is a man that pretends to have seizures. The residents of Twin are giving with their time, and money, and like to help those in need. The number is higher than it should be, but Idaho still ranks low on the poverty list, compared to other states. One thing is for sure, is that the people of Twin will help out those that need it whenever they can. Everyone needs a place to reside, and as long as they don't bother people, then they don't appear to be a problem. They fell on hard times, and we can all help them the best we can.

While there may be no way to stop homeless people from living in Twin Falls, and sometimes they may refuse help, the best thing we can do as a community is to help them the best way we can. Don't give them money, but offer to buy them food, or clothes, or ask what you can do for them. Some may refuse it, some may appreciate it, but as the number increases, the more help that will be needed. We all go through tough times, and some people are just going through things a little bit tougher.

Things We Do In Idaho That Feel Illegal But Aren't

We all know that feeling of driving down the street innocently obeying all the laws and a cop car pulls up behind you and you immediately feel like a felon on the run.

If Idaho Founders had Rants and Raves Pages

Could you imagine if the founders of Idaho had a rants and raves page where they could air their grievances and praise?
