28 Pronghorn Poached in East Idaho
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) Wildlife authorities are trying to track down those responsible for poaching 28 pronghorn near Idaho Falls late last month.
According to information released by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, the pronghorn were found dead near the small community of Monteview. Fish and Game believe the animals were poached between late January and early February.
According to Regional Conservation Officer Doug Petersen, “This is the most offensive case of poaching I have seen in my entire career!” Officials say some of the animals were found near a road and think they might have been shot at from a vehicle.
Citizens Against Poaching is offering a reward of $2,000 that leads to an arrest. Calls can be made to Idaho State Police with any information by dialing 1-800-632-5999. Information will be given to Idaho Fish and Game.
