TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- An African lion in Twin Falls grabbed the attention of the public and resulted in a big win for a Gooding artist.

The Magic Valley Arts Council announced the winners of the annual Art & Soul of the Magic Valley contest. The contest for a cash prize featured more than 250 artist from around southern Idaho. Art work ranged from painting and photos to large sculptures set outside store fronts in Twin Falls.

The top prize went to artist Jacob Novinger for his sculpture titled Aslan that sat outside Dunkley Music. Novinger gets to take home $15,000 and Dunkley Music gets $300. The second place winner was Dave LaMure Jr. of Kimberly and his sculpture The Sentinel. A painting titled The Whispering Horse took home the third place for Shena Bingham of Dietrich.
