Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT- TV / KSVT- TV) - Winter weather continues tonight across southern Idaho. Additional snowfall of 2 to 4 inches is possible across the Magic Valley and the Mini-Cassia region.

Snow will pick up again across the region after sunset. Temperatures will fall to near or below freezing. Because the snow is a heavier denser snow it will pack and become icy on untreated surfaces. Roads that have not been cleared or treated will turn icy as additional snow falls.

Winter Storm Warning is in place for Twin Falls, Jerome and Gooding counties until 5 a.m. Tuesday morning while a Winter Weather Advisory continues for Lincoln, Minidoka and Cassia counties until 11 p.m. Monday evening.

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means that significant amounts of snow will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. If you must travel, the National Weather Service recommends keeping an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

Travel conditions for all Idaho roads, highways, and interstates are available on Idaho 511 from the Idaho Department of Transportation.
