Nevada is a state known for alleged haunted hotels. One, in particular, can be found 120 miles west of Elko and is known for having a room that has caused visitors to leave in the middle of the night.

Winnemucca, Nevada, has the nickname, "The Friendliest Town In Nevada," according to travelnevada.com. There are approximately 8,300 people who call the city home, and I've visited the area many times over the past two decades.

I travel a lot from the West Coast to southern Idaho, and Winnemucca is a good place to stop and gas up. There's also a great barbeque spot called the The Pig, and I've eaten there a handful of times. They allow dogs inside and have a very friendly staff as well as a terrific menu; it's exactly the type of place a weary traveler should stop for a bite to eat and a cold beer.

Dark figures, strange noises, and even electronic disturbances have been reported by visitors in room 136.

The city also has a lodging option that has been operating for over 190 years called The Santa Fe Inn. The travel website HauntedRooms.com has the inn listed as one of its top paranormal hotspots in the state. Dark figures, strange noises, and even electronic disturbances have been reported by visitors in room 136. There is a record of people checking out early due to the strange occurrences.

If you're ever expecting to travel through the area and want to investigate the claims for yourself, you can contact The Santa Fe Inn at 775-562-2244. The inn is located at 1620 West Winnemucca Boulevard.

Is This Las Vegas House Crazy or Brilliant?

My initial instinct was to hate this house...but with every picture, it started to make more and more sense.
