On Today's Rock News:  BIN LADEN IS DEAD!, Def Leppard to be on the Tonight Show and Metallica is working on new music.  Oh yeah and did I mention we got him!  God Bless our troops and God Bless America!

Def Leppard is mighty busy:

According to the Late Night TV Page, British hard rock legends DEF LEPPARD will be guests on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Tuesday, May 10th. The Tonight Show airs on NBC TV at 11:35 EST.

This appearance is in apprehension of their new album Mirrorball, which is their first ever live album.  It will be available exclusively at Walmart and Sam's Club locations in North America.

The triple disc package features two CDs and a 50 minute DVD containing live performances and intimate backstage footage of the band captured on the road. The following six songs - four filmed in concert and two promo videos - will be included on the DVD.

Metallica is busy too:

Metallicas scheduled to enter the studio later this month to begin recording a yet-to-be-revealed new project, which guitarist Kirk Hammett described to RollingStone.com as "more a recording project than a bona fide Metallica album."

So give me more!!!!

When asked if the project involved "something new," Ulrich paused before replying, "Er… something new? Um… not necessarily. It depends on where you look at it from. I wouldn't call it something new. You guys will be right there when we're ready to share it with somebody. Right now there's nothing to say, and Kirk's been… er… He's been given 10 push-ups! And not kid push-ups! Kirk is doing 10 push-ups every morning 'till rehearsal."
