BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A former Idaho juvenile corrections nurse is facing up to five years in prison after she pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in a sex abuse case.

The Idaho Statesman reports Valerie Lieteau was three days from trial when she pleaded guilty Friday. Prosecutors agreed to drop two counts of sexual battery of a minor and two counts of sexual contact with a juvenile inmate.

Attorney Bruce Skaug is representing people who say they were abused at the Nampa center in a civil lawsuit against Lieteau and the Juvenile Corrections Department. A dozen people have said workers at the center sexually abused them.
