On April 17th, 1964, Ford introduced the world to the Mustang. Now, 50 years later, Ford is celebrating with a special edition of the iconic pony car.

Unveiled a few days before it's 50th anniversary, Ford built a Mustang on the top floor of the Empire State Building... just because they could.

There will only be 1,964 of the 2014 50th Anniversary Ford Mustang GT produced. It comes fully loaded with Ford's 5.0 L V8 engine (producing an awesome 420 horsepower), leather and suede two-tone interior, and six speed automatic or manual transmission. You can pick up this beauty in one of two colors: Kona Blue, or Wimbledon White.

The 50 Year Limited Edition car will be among the first 2015 Mustangs built when production begins later this year. Each of the 1,964 50 Year Limited Edition Mustangs will get a unique owner's guide in a leather portfolio with the 50 Year badge on the outside.
