Watch out Elon Musk, there's a new competitor on the electronic vehicle scene.  One of the most iconic muscle cars in America, no the world, is going electric!

Ford is now tailgating Tesla with the all-electric Mustang Mach-E. The 2021 Mach-E was unveiled Sunday night in Los Angeles and is part of an $11 billion plan to develop 40 new all-electric and hybrid models by 2022.  Tesla is the current market leader at a very expense price point.  No word on the pricing of the new Mustang.

Ford says performance models of the Mach-E will achieve 0-60 miles per hour in the mid-3-second range making it faster than a Porsche Macan Turbo and in line with the Tesla Model Y.  The popularity of electric vehicles continues to expand across the country.  Have you noticed that electronic charging stations have become more common at rest stops?

However, gasoline stations are still more the dominant means of fueling cars and trucks.  Energy experts predict that one day electric vehicles will be the only vehicles on the road.  Depending on the model, the Mach-E is expected to achieve between 210 miles and at least 300 miles on one charge, have you jumped into an electric or hybrid yet?  If not, what's holding you back?  How might the Mach-E be a game-changer for Ford?  Could we see more muscle cars like the Chevy Camero and Dodge Charger go electric?
