I heard something today that shocked me so much that I had to find out if it could even possibly be true. Someone mentioned that they had heard that Idaho was more likely to curse than just about any other part of the country. Surely, that can't be true, right Idahoans? You told me to go and do what to myself?

I always pictured this state as being super-polite. Then, I drove home on Blue Lakes and learned the truth.

As it turns out, my friend was correct. Idaho was called out in a survey done not that long ago as being one of the states most likely to curse without provocation.

Oh, and that's not all. We're also less likely to say thank you.

I found this in an article by NPR referencing a study done by Marchex. From what I can gather, their ranking is based on words used in customer service calls.

The funny part of this to me is the fact that, prior to moving to Idaho, I always pictured this state as being super-polite. Then, I drove home on Blue Lakes and learned the truth.

Moral of this story? If an Idahoan orders a pizza or orders something from your catalog or website, you better get our order right - or else.
