
Amazon Robots To Snag Thousands Of ID Jobs By 2033, Report Says
Robotics in the workplace dates back to the sixties when automobile plants like General Motors used them to speed up production. Nowadays, robot co-workers are common place, and in the next decade, will be replacing human jobs at a high number across the country.
Robotization is most commonly being practiced by companies that handle a high volume of orders, such as the food and beverage and automotive industries. One major United States technology company recently announced plans to replace over half a million jobs nationwide in the next eight to 10 years.
Amazon Planning To Replace Approximately 600,000 Workers With Robots By 2033

Several sources such as CNET have reported news of Amazon's intentions to replace human hub workers with mechanized package sorting lines and other self-operating systems. Amazon ships roughly 17 million packages per day, according to Capital One.

There are presently 10 Amazon sorting/processing hubs throughout Idaho, according to Zon Hack, which accounts for thousands of salaried positions. Amazon currently employs an estimated 1.5 million workers worldwide, according to Macrotrends.
