Multiple fatal incidents involving U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement ("ICE") agents in Minnesota over the past four weeks have sparked outrage among Americans from coast to coast. Two Americans have been shot dead by ICE officers in the streets of Minneapolis since January 7, 2026, with many accusing the agency of excessive force and unprovoked actions.

President Donald Trump has spoken out against the deaths in recent days. Nearly 300 violent criminals have been rounded up by ICE since 'Operation Violent Surge' began in the Gopher State, according to Bring Me The News. Idaho news outlets such as KTVB have been covering protests at the state capital in Boise.
