Beavis And Butt-Head's most successful film will celebrate a depressing milestone for Generation Xers in 2026. For those like me who grew up watching Mike Judge's imbecilic but hilarious animated creation, you may recall when the dopey duo took a bus ride through the Pacific Northwest, including visits to a couple of oddly-named Gem State locations.

I still remember when Beavis And Butt-Head first aired on March 8, 1993 on MTV. I was one year removed from high school and living in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California. The series had immediate success and entertained teenagers and adults worldwide for close to a decade before officially ending.

Creator Mike Judge was inspired by actual people he grew up with when he dreamed up the fledging, apathetic roommates, so the Internet lore says.

I'll admit it, I wasted a lot of time lying on the couch at the ages of 18 and 19 watching the first two seasons of the show. I was also a massive Ren & Stimpy fan, and still can't believe Nickelodeon got away with airing it for as long as they did. December 20, 2026, will mark the 30th anniversary of the release of Beavis And Butt-Head Do America.

Creator Mike Judge was inspired by actual people he grew up with when he dreamed up the fledging, apathetic roommates, so the Internet lore says. In the film, Beavis And Butt-Head take a bus ride through Butte County, Peck, and Benewah County in Idaho. They also get a good laugh at the roadside signs of Bags and Big Piney, Wyoming.

You can watch the scenes in the below YouTube video at 6:05 into it. The video is not recommended for children and should only be viewed by those over the age of 18.

Things We Do In Idaho That Feel Illegal But Aren't

We all know that feeling of driving down the street innocently obeying all the laws and a cop car pulls up behind you and you immediately feel like a felon on the run.
