Boise State Basketball Finally Gets a Win
After three weeks of losing (one including a close defeat of #10 Nevada), Leon Rice's Boise State Broncos were finally able to get a win this weekend over Wyoming. It was a dominating win that came after a losing streak that to me, just wasn't adding up.
I'm a firm believer, especially in college basketball, that any team can beat anyone on any given day--that's the beauty that has always been college hoops. However, how can Boise State rise to nearly defeat a TOP TEN TEAM...and then get beat up on the next two weeks by teams without that kind of status? Maybe Nevada is overrated...or maybe Boise State is just inconsistent.
Leon Rice in a press conference was pretty forward about the season saying that fans have a right to be upset--saying it's his job to fix this. I've been a fan of Rice before he even came to Boise State and I know he's got the smarts to turn this team around...if they're bought in.
Meanwhile on the women's side? Perhaps they could beat the men! With just two losses on the season, these ladies could be a team to watch for in March!
