Detectives in northern Utah are still working a cold case that involves the death of a woman who was found in a garbage bag along the side of the road.

Investigators in Brigham City, Utah, are asking the public for assistance with solving a murder thought to have occurred four years ago. In April, a trash bag was discovered along a roadway in Box Elder County that held the remains of Brandy Hickey, who was last heard from in 2021, according to details shared by KSL.

Brandy Hickey's remains were identified six months after they were found bagged up like garbage. Whoever is responsible for this cruel act must be brought to justice and punished to the fullest extent of the law.

It's being reported that Hickey had connections throughout central and northern Utah, so someone in her social circle could have been responsible for this crime. Brigham City, where her remains were found, is 60 miles north of Salt Lake.
