UPDATE: The Ada County Coroner Dotti Owens identified the victim as Even Olson. He was flown to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center where life saving measures were unsuccessful.
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)-A 19-year-old passenger died in a hospital Sunday night following a two-vehicle crash south of Jerome that also injured two juveniles. According to Idaho State Police, emergency crews responded a little after 8 p.m. to Golf Course Road near the Jerome Country Club for a two-vehicle crash involving a 2014 Ford Focus and a 2000 Toyota Camry. ISP said two juveniles were in the Ford headed west at a high rate of speed when the driver crossed the yellow line and hit the Toyota driven by a 21-year-old Twin Falls woman. The juveniles in the Ford were wearing seat belts and taken to area hospitals. The driver of the Toyota was not wearing a seat belt and was taken to a local hospital. The 19-year-old passenger was wearing a seat belt and flown to a hospital where he died. The crash blocked traffic on Golf Course Road for about four hours while traffic was diverted around on county roads. The Jerome County Sheriff's Office, Jerome Police Department, Jerome Fire Department, and Magic Valley Paramedics responded to the crash. ISP is investigating the crash.
