IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Eastern Idaho authorities say they will seek the death penalty for a man charged with killing his pregnant girlfriend at her cabin near Driggs, Idaho.

The Post Register reports that the Teton County Prosecutor's Office in Idaho on Wednesday filed the paperwork in the case against 39-year-old Erik Ohlson of Jackson, Wyoming. Ohlson is charged with two counts of first-degree murder following the July 5 fatal shooting of Jennifer Nalley. Police say Ohlson told detectives he consumed alcohol before going to Nalley's cabin and shooting her multiple times without saying a word.

An autopsy found she was shot several times by a .45-caliber handgun. Police have not stated a possible motive. Nalley has a physics degree and is a founding member of the Texas Rollergirls roller derby league.
