Does Your Significant Other Read Your Personal Messages?

My husband always reads my personal and work emails, text messages, Facebook, everything.  He is always all up in my business.  So Twin Falls, is this normal?

He started doing this when we started dating and honestly, I could not stand it.  I've always been a proponent of personal time and space and he was crossing the line. Eventually, I asked him why he was doing this?

Does he not trust me?  

His answer was a bit surprising, he said, "no, I trust you, I just find your job to be interesting."

Yes, a lot of what I do is conducted through text, email and Facebook, and I don't really believe him, but I just go with it.

Why?  I allow my husband to look through my personal messages because I have nothing to hide and if it makes him feel better, fine with me.

The only problem is, it's hard to surprise the guy.
