Elf On The Shelf

In 2004 "Elf On The Shelf", a children's picture book, was written and placed in book and retail stores all over the country. Soon the book and the "Elf" character became a family tradition for numerous families.

These families are visited by their personal Elf every year between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. During this time, the Elf gets into silly mischief around the families household. This silly mischief often ends up on Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram and other social media sites.

While I think "Elf on The Shelf" is an extremely fun idea, not all Elf's will mesh with all families. This begs the question...
