
Horse Tranquilizer, Fentanyl Drug Combo A Threat In ID, WA, UT
An extremely dangerous combination of drugs in pill form continues to show up throughout the Pacific Northwest after first being detected on the East Coast years ago.
The misuse of a mixture of two powerful drugs is continuing to plague Americans from coast to coast. Drug agents in Washington State recently seized a large quantity composed of the deadly drug fentanyl, and another compound commonly used to sedate animals.
A Mixture Of Horse Tranquilizer And Fentanyl Is Showing Up On Streets Across U.S.

Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid that is 50 times more potent than heroine and 100 times stronger than morphine, according to the California Department of Public Health. It's used to treat patients experiencing extreme pain, from diseases such as cancer. The main ingredient in Opioids comes from the poppy seed.
As if that fact isn't frightening enough, drug dealers have been combining fentanyl with other substances called Xylazine, known on the street as 'tranq,' and Carfentanil, both are used by veterinarians to put animals under prior to surgery.

The Oregonian recently reported that the Drug Enforcement Administration seized several bags of pills in central Washington State containing this deadly combination that was prepped for trafficking.
On average, over 100 people in the United States dies from opioid overdoses each day, according to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office. These drugs are most commonly taken orally, but can be absorbed through the skin and taken up the nose.
